International Reus
Casa Fortuny Reus
22.10. - 30.10.2025
Daniel Garbade takes part in the new edition of the Mini Print Internacional Reus Fortuny with a series of digital prints that explore the relationship between the everyday and the poetic. In his works, table scenes become luminous compositions: glasses, reflections, and household objects are transformed under his gaze into a play of transparencies and color that evokes the fragility of the moment.
True to his personal style, Garbade approaches the image with an almost painterly sensitivity, where every reflection and shadow takes on symbolic value. The apparent simplicity of the scene —a table with glasses, a bottle, and the remnants of a gathering— hides a universe of restrained emotions. His digital treatment does not diminish warmth; on the contrary, it enhances the vibration of color and the texture of glass, creating an atmosphere suspended between reality and memory.
This approach fits perfectly with the spirit of the Mini Print Internacional Reus Fortuny, which celebrates the expressive power of small formats. In works barely 20 × 20 centimeters in size, the invited artists manage to condense entire worlds of meaning, technique, and emotion.
The exhibition, as every year, is presented at Casa Fortuny, home of the Friends of Reus Center. This historic space, where the celebrated painter Marià Fortuny was born, hosts the selected works of the international printmaking competition, organized by ARS Cultura y Técnica. In its bright rooms, the graphic miniatures of artists from five continents are displayed in a carefully arranged layout, where each piece engages in dialogue with the others in a balanced harmony of forms and styles.

 Run
Belen Artspace,
Madrid
Opening:
24th of june :7pm:
To mark Pride Month in Madrid, Garbade presents a striking collection of black-and-white works: oil paintings on canvas that capture scenes of men running, driven by hope, urgency, and the longing to reach a goal that is as physical as it is symbolic.
Through these moving bodies, the exhibition becomes a powerful metaphor for the daily struggle of the LGTBI community — a relentless race for visibility, equality, and acceptance, but also for personal fulfillment and the conquest of spaces of freedom.
The stark contrast of black and white amplifies the emotional charge of each brushstroke, highlighting both the fragility and the determination of its protagonists. Each painting freezes a fleeting moment of an endless race, where sweat, muscle tension, and a gaze fixed ahead invite viewers to empathize with the effort and hope sustaining every step.
Staying true to his style, rich in symbolism and social commitment, Garbade ensures that this series resonates deeply with the spirit of Pride: celebrating diversity, honoring the memory of those who ran before, and reminding us that, even if the finish line seems distant, every stride forward is a shared victory.
An artistic proposal that moves and provokes reflection, reminding us that running, in this context, is not escaping — but resisting and claiming the right to finally reach the long-desired goal.
